Laniatus + Watergram

Laniatus explores the relationship between sound, light, and the surface of water. A thin layer of water rests on mirrors and is set into subtle continuous vibration by transducers. These small ripples refract and reflect light, casting shifting, ephemeral patterns into the surrounding space. The work creates a circular relation between media: sound shapes water, water bends light, and light draws temporary forms in space and time. Rather than treating water as image or symbol, the installation approaches it as an active material presence whose movement directly generates the visual experience. Laniatus invites a heightened perception of almost imperceptible changes, where vibration, reflection, and resonance become carriers of spatial atmosphere.
