Clockwork Voltage, a blossoming hub for modular synthesizer enthusiasts, has always celebrated the union of creativity and technology. At the core of this community is a shared passion: to weave the oscillating sounds from modular synthesizers into the tapestry of everyday life. As this art form grows globally, Slovenia too boasts a mix of established and budding artists fervently experimenting in their home studios, ever ready to bring their innovations to the fore. During one of Clockwork Voltage’s signature events, I had the honor of unveiling my performance titled “BioDRON”. This immersive sonic experience delves deep into the heartbeats of nature by unlocking the secret sounds of plants using bio-sonification. Harnessing the electrical rhythms within these silent beings, I merged them with ethereal recordings from aquatic realms and the haunting echoes of birds long gone. The result? A spellbinding journey through nature’s subtle symphonies and the intricate web of life, all underscored by the pulsating hum of modular synthesis.
